Carjacking and Robbery Suspect Nelson Yobani Mendoza

On Saturday, November 5, 2016, at 3:16am, Fresno Police officers responded to the intersection of Fruit and Belmont for a reported carjacking. Upon arrival, officers contacted vicitims Selena & Francisco Perez. The victimes advised officers that they were in their car eating tacos when suspect Nelson Mendoza opened the car door and pointed a black handgun at them. Mendoza took their wallet and purse and told both victims to get out of the car and then stole their car. Through follow-up investication, detectives identifed Suspec Nelsopn Yobani Mendoza as the person who robbed both victims and stole their car. Medoza is believed to be hiding somewhere in the Fresno area.
