A judge has issued an arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on a felony charges of assault, battery on a peace officer and several misdemeanor charges.
On August 22, 2016, Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies were flagged down by a motorist while on patrol in Riverdale. The driver of a pickup said that a woman walking along the road threw a rock at his windshield and cracked it. Deputies searched the area and found the woman, later identified as Samona Randolph. As deputies approached her in their car, Randolph kicked the door. Deputies got out and tried to detain her, but Randolph resisted by swinging her arm. She scratched one deputy on his neck and ripped off items that were attached to his uniform. Deputies eventually put handcuffs on her and took her into custody.
Randolph was placed in an ambulance for medical evaluation. During this time, she bit the paramedic and scratched the emergency medical technician. After Randolph was cleared at the hospital, deputies booked her into the Fresno County Jail. She spent 10 days in custody and was then released after serving her time.
Randolph is a 30 year old black woman. She is 5’5”, 130 lbs. with brown eyes and short black hair.
