Gilberto Gaitan of Mendota

A judge has issued an arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on felony charges of growing and selling marijuana.

On June 22, 2016, members of the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Enforcement Team served a search warrant at a home on the 5200 block of West Floral Ave. in Mendota.  Deputies contacted Gilberto Gaitan at this home.  During a search of the house, deputies found a total of 609 mature marijuana plants growing in a fenced in area of the yard.  All of the plants were seized and destroyed.

Deputies arrested Gaitan and booked him into the Fresno County Jail.  He spent five days in custody and was then let out as part of Probation Pre-Trial Supervision.

Gaitan is 46 years old.  He is 5’9”, 180 lbs. with brown eyes and brown hair.
